Nepenthes X Miranda is a common hybrid that has been around for quite some time. I purchased this plant from Leilani Hapu'u Nursery and they sent me two clones. One is darker than the other. Rumor has it that is cross may be Mixta x maxima. I think it was made by Deroos Nursery and their hybrids tend to show up in Home Depots or other garden centers. I think they're almost as common as the N. X ventrata that are the most commonly sold hybrid around. I've seen those in my local nursery on occasion. I bought this hybrid mainly to try outdoors and see what happens. It would do best as a lowlander but it is so hardy that I want to give it a shot outdoors. So far it is doing fine. This hybrid may turn out to be one of those plants that can grow as a lowlander, intermediate, and highlander. It's a great beginner's Nepenthes because it is relatively inexpensive for the size, hardy, and adapts to a wide growing environment. I would suspect it would make an excellent indoor houseplant provided ample light is provided.
