Nepenthes veitchii X truncata is an Exotica Plants hybrid between a lowlander and a highlander. It's the reverse of N. truncata x veitchii they did years ago. It's a steady grower but not quick. I grow mine in partial shade outdoors and it seems to do fine. This cross isn't a vining type Nepenthes so cuttings seem to be hard to come by. Every once in a while Tristan's will have some of the original N. truncata x veitchii cuttings on Ebay and they fetch a pretty good price. Right now both crosses look very similar to each other. As the plant gets larger, there may be some differences in the peristome from the parent N. veitchii influence. Exotica Plants had these available briefly and then went off the list. I would guess that as more of these are grown out from Exotica Plants, they'll be offered again sometime soon.
