darker clone with striping (8 / 06)
Nepenthes truncata X trusmadiensis is a hybrid between a lowlander and highlander. It has the potential to be truly phenomenal. You have the large size of N. truncata crossed with the elongated, ridged peristome of N. X trusmadiensis and you should have a winner! All of these Trusmadiensis hybrids from Exotica Plants are worth obtaining. It seems that plants are being released sparingly and are limited. As the plants mature, I think you'll see Exotica Plants release more of them for sale. I have a few color varieties that differ mainly in the amount of red in the pitcher and the striping on the peristome. It appears to be more vigorous than I expected which is good! I think this hybrid will be in demand for years to come like N. lowii X ventricosa.
