tobaica "purple" X lowii is an Exotica Plants hybrid between a two
highlanders. It arrived as a rooted cutting and has taken time to adapt to my
highland conditions. Once established it appears to grow as a scrambling vine
but not as thin as a straight N. tobaica. Since the N. lowii was the male in
this hybrid I don't expect to see much flaring in the peristome as with the
female N. lowii crosses from EP. I'm hoping that maybe more of the purple in the
N. tobaica will be more evident with age. This particular hybrid doesn't appear
very much in the forums or from the Exotica list making it scarce to come by.
