Nepenthes thorelii X N. maxima is a remake of a popular hybrid called N. X Rokko. This is Exotica Plant's version of it. I got this plant from Sunbelle Exotics and it has done well for me since it arrived. When it did arrive the growth tip was broken off pretty severely and I thought the plant might not come back from it. But within months it took off and produced pitchers. I compare this to some bigger plants I have with broken growth tips that are still trying to recover. I grow it outdoors as a highlander but it can also be grown as a lowlander. This hybrid is very versatile to many different conditions. I've found that all my hybrids with Exotica's N. thorelii do extremely well for me in my growing conditions. The plants are colorful, hardy, and very vigorous. This particular hybrid would make a nice beginner's plant in a windowsill environment until it gets larger.
