Nepenthes (rokko X dyeriana) X ventricosa is a complex hybrid involving lowlanders and highlanders. N. X rokko is a hybrid between N. thorelii X N. maxima. The hybrid N. X dyeriana is N. X mixta X N. dicksoniana which are both hybrids as well. So there is a lot of complexity going on with this hybrid. I purchased this plant as a rooted cutting from Tristan's. Exotica Plants did offer some of their rooted cuttings for purchase and I got one of those. The problem was that the plant went into shock after being held up in customs. This hybrid has done well all year long outdoors and is beginning to produce sideshoots. It has flowered twice as well. I've found it to be a vigorous hybrid that I like a lot. There aren't many hybrids around with N. X dyeriana but I think this is one worth seeking out. It probably could be grown in a variety of growing conditions and would do better in warmer, humid conditions than I can provide. But so far it's proving to be a good grower in my highland conditions.
