Nepenthes maxima X Trusmadiensis is a cross between two highlanders. Exotica Plants is producing many hybrids involving N. X Trusmadiensis that needs no introduction. I have a few clones of this hybrid but the one above is producing the largest pitchers to date. Pitchers resemble the N. maxima quite a bit. The peristome is a little more ridged than a typical N. maxima. I'm hoping that the mouth of the pitcher will elongate and take on more of the N. X Trusmadiensis as it begins to enter the vining stage. It is an easy hybrid to grow in intermediate to highland conditions and does well in full sun in hanging pots. As with all of Exotica's hybrids involving N. X Trusmadiensis, they are very popular and turn into collector's plants rather quickly. However, this hybrid hasn't gotten as expensive yet compared to some of the other N. X Trusmadiensis hybrids.
