Nepenthes maximai X (Rokko X veitchii) is a complex hybrid involving highlanders and lowlanders. I'm currently growing this hybrid under shade cloth outdoors as a highlander. This was one of my plants that got held up in customs from a previous Exotica Plants order. That shipment was dipped with insecticides that pretty much decimated most of the plants in that order. I guess I got lucky because this hybrid survived. I purchased this hybrid because Exotica Plants had a photo of the same hybrid in their peristome collection link and it looked really nice. Right now I don't think this hybrid is anything exceptional but this is the first pitcher. The photos from Exotica's site show this hybrid to be very showy. Whether this is a cutting from that exact plant I have no idea. It could be a clone from one of their many stock plants so mine may look a little different.
