Nepenthes maxima X talangensis is an Exotica Plants hybrid between a two highlanders. This particular hybrid is turning out to be nicer than I thought at first purchase. When I got the plant, I put it outside on the tables and kind of forgot about it because it was a size 3 with no pitchers on it yet. Then months later I noticed it had two big pitchers for its size and I was amazed. It has been a good grower for a highlander. The N. maxima in it makes it a fast grower compared to the N. talangensis that is a slow grower. The pitchers on this plant seem to be a nice mix between both parents. They have a lot of the N. maxima coloration with the N. talangensis pitcher shape to it. So far it has been a steady grower with no problems. And like I said, compared to other highlanders, this hybrid seems to be more vigorous than others.
