Nepenthes lamii is reported to be an ultra-highland growing species. This means that it should have cool nights for proper growth similar to N. villosa. To me, this makes it an excellent candidate for growing outdoors. The plant I have is small and a slow grower typical of ultra-highlanders. As you can see from the size of my specimen it will take several years to get this plant into a vining stage to say the least. I haven't seen a whole lot of information about this species. I remember reading somewhere that N. lamii is considered the highland version of N. vieillardi. This species seems to have very limited retail distribution as well. Because N. lamii is a slow growing ultra-highlander, I suspect there won't be many larger plants available because it takes a while to grow out to adult size.
