Nepenthes izumiae X trusmadiensis is an Exotica Plants hybrid between a two highlanders. This particular hybrid became available in 2009 and is another one of Exotica's hybrids using N. trusmadiensis. I have several clones that are still size 3 plants but are coming along nicely. They're easy growers in highland conditions and produce sturdy pitchers. I'm starting to see some variation among my plants as to the darkness of the pitchers. Some are lighter than others. None of my plants are producing uppers yet to see if the pitchers lighten up a bit like they do on N. izumiae X truncata. Surprisingly, good sized plants haven't been snapped up from the various retailers compared to other N. trusmadiensis hybrids Exotica has offered. Usually EP hybrids with N. trusmadiensis don't stay around long but this particular hybrid is still very available and affordable. I think when the seedlings are snapped up and the selected cuttings become available from EP, prices will still hold for select cuttings.
